Feeling Stuck, Overwhelmed, or Just Not Yourself?

Whether you're facing a major life decision, navigating daily stress, or struggling with anxiety and depression that won't let up — I help you move forward with more clarity and less weight.

Stress Doesn't Have to Be Your Default

I help people navigate life transitions — especially young adults finding their way and men in midlife re-evaluating everything.

If you're feeling stuck, anxious, or disconnected, you're in the right place.

Three Ways We Can Meet

You Choose What Fits

In-Person

Office or School

Meet me at my private Salida office — or, for teens, I can come to your school during a free period or study hall. We'll find what works.

Nature-Based

Walk & Talk

Therapy outdoors (weather permitting) on local trails, for clients who feel more open when moving.

A narrow dirt trail winds through a grassy hillside with scattered rocks and a few tall pine trees, under a partly cloudy sky.
A cozy living room corner with a brown leather armchair, a green sofa with a throw pillow, a wooden coffee table, and a desk with a computer monitor and a small television. There are windows with natural light, one with a patterned curtain, and some wall art.

Virtual

Flexible & Private

Secure video sessions for anyone in Colorado; meet from home or wherever you feel safest.

All options include the same expert guidance; just in different settings.

Clinical Supervision

From Graduate to Licensed Professional

Earning your degree is a huge achievement—but it’s only the first step. You’ve got 2,000 hours of supervised clinical work ahead of you, and while you have the clinical skills, you might not have the business roadmap.

That’s where I come in.

Under my supervision, you’ll work under my license while I review your case notes, ensure you’re practicing within your scope, and handle the insurance billing so you can actually get paid. More importantly, I’ll mentor you on the "unwritten curriculum"—how to market yourself, how to network for referrals, and how to build a sustainable private practice that doesn't burn you out.

Think of me as your safety net and your business coach, rolled into one.

Hi, I’m Nick.

I've lived in Salida since 2008. I know this town, I know these trails, and I know how hard it can be to ask for help.

I started my career as a teacher. I loved working with kids, but I kept finding myself in moments where a student would stay after class to talk about something real, and I'd have five minutes before the next bell rang. I'd think: "I just spent an hour teaching about George Washington, and this is what actually matters."

So I made a change. I went back to school (twice) to become a licensed therapist. Now I get to do what I always wanted: help teens and young adults navigate life's hardest moments - not with a textbook, but with real conversation, practical tools, and a whole lot of empathy.

Testimonials

“Nick is a wonderful coach who showed a lot of patience when discussing the issues I was struggling with. His expertise lies in listening carefully to what I was saying and then playing back what he heard with suggestions of how to make changes. I liked his approach on using a small whiteboard to map out my thoughts as visual exercise. He also gave me tools to use as homework to write down what I was going through, map out my feelings, and possible solutions. He was very pleasant to work with, and if I ever need support again, I know who to reach out to.”

- MS

"I feel like I’ve grown a lot through our work together. I always leave our sessions with a better understanding of myself and feel like I have a clearer perspective on things. I am very grateful for Nick's support especially though tough transitional periods."
